Doers of Jesus' Words

One day Jesus to his
surprised disciples said,
"I was an hungred, and ye
gave me meat", to which
they replied:  "When saw we
thee an hungred,
and gave thee bread?"
And here words that have
rung down the centuries,
to glorious deeds have led:

"Inasmuch as ye have done it
unto one of the least of these
my brethren, ye have done it
unto me."
(Matthew 25)

His answer, of course
for all Christians professing --
               not just finessing.
When our Master's words cause
in you and me an ouch!,
we know we're going to
get up off that couch.
