Overcoming Through Christ

          "Behold, I give unto you power
                    to tread on serpents and scorpions,
                        and over all the power of the enemy:
                                   and nothing shall by any means hurt you,
                                                                   our Lord and Master said
                                                                            (Luke 10:19)


          Let us fix so firmly in thought that we will
                       never, ever
                                        forget it that --


                Without Christ, we're sure to fail --
                With Christ we shall prevail.


                 Heaven sent,
                     Lovingly meant
                              To comfort me and you.

God's Help With Rain

Last evening, after too many days of very hot, dry weather, everything in need of rain, I felt frustrated with forecasts of none in sight for a long time.

Then two thoughts from Mary Baker Eddy's book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures helped turn my thinking to God as an ever present help with all things:

God's work is done and it is our task to know this, to pray from the basis of His creation complete right now;

And she writes,  why do we ask for more abundance when the fountain is pouring forth more than we accept.

I of course have put these thoughts into my own words, but they brought such a sense of peace, and conviction that God knew nothing of drought or lack of any good thing, and that His work had been done perfectly (of course).

Then, when I took the dogs out for a walk this morning, was delighted to see the trees dripping!  We   obviously had a nice rain during the night.

Christian Science is such a help in our everyday life.

God's Mind, Our Mind

We are God's and have His Mind,
our thoughts from Him reflected.
Claiming and understanding this, we are
from all false beliefs protected.


There is no inharmony in God
nor in His image, you and me.
Accepting this as gospel truth,
we cannot help  but see
truth do what Jesus proved it would:


Expose mortal mimd's unreality,
                  Strike off mental chains,
                         Make us feel oh so free.


Christ-informed, spiritually enlightened,
we can have now rightful demonstration
of the dominion that belongs to all
as divine Mind's own manifestation.
For man is Mind-created and encompassed--
             held intact and dear--
and there is nothing in God's infinitude
for Mind's idea, man, to fear.
